Mighty Fine Blog Tour & Movie Review

I was recently chosen to participate in an online screening of the movie Mighty Fine. I was even able to chat with the actors at the end of the movie which was really awesome!

The movie was written and directed by Debbie Goodstein and is a semi-autobiography. "Mighty Fine" is the story of Joe Fine (Chazz Palminteri), a business man who moves his wife (Andie MacDowell) and two teenage daughters (Rainey Qualley-MacDowell's real life daughter and Jodelle Ferland) from Brooklyn, NY to New Orleans during the 1970s.

At first, the husband Joe, seems to be a generous and loving husband and father. As the movie progresses, you get to see more of Joe's temper and his anger problem. Joe's anger fuels the conflict in his family. He tries to make up by spending money and spoiling them with gifts.

It was very disturbing to see how unpredictable Joe is and how his behavior nearly breaks his family apart. Unfortunately we live in a world where this is fairly common. I myself was in a very abusive relationship at one time. There are not enough movies out there that shine the light on this kind of behavior and I am so glad I was able to participate in the event.

I highly encourage you to go see Mighty Fine when it comes to select theaters May 25

***Disclosure - I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mighty Fine and the distributor. I received access to an online showing of the film and a promotional item to thank me for participating
