When I think back on memories of my childhood I often think about those moments when I was in the kitchen with my dad or aunt creating special recipes and getting to pitch in. As a mom I hope to create those same memories for my children to be able to look back on. We decided to make some yummy cereal bars with one of our favorite cereals Trix! This recipe is super easy and fun for the kids to help out with....hope you enjoy!
Things you will need:
- (1) Box of Trix Cereal (available at Walmart)
- (3) sticks of butter
- (2) bags of mini marshmallows (will use 1.5 bags)
- A baking pan
- Nonstick spray
Start out with a pan sprayed with nonstick spray
First you will melt the 3 sticks of butter in an appropriate sized pot.....
Once the butter is melted add 1 1/2 bags of the mini marshmallows..keep stirring!
Once the marshmallow is gooey add the box of Trix cereal (forgot to take pic!) :(
Pour the mixture into your baking pan and press firmly down.
Let cool for about an hour. Cut and enjoy!
